Vijay Jobanputra receives printing certification

Vijay Jobanputra, Geodsx India Prepress Manager, has received his G7 expert certfication in the recent IDEAlliance certification program conducted in Chicago. He is the only certified G7 expert from India. Vijay's expertise along with that of his colleagues give Geodsx unparalleled print-management capabilities.

IDEAlliance (International Digital Enterprise Alliance) is a not-for-profit membership organization that has been a leader in information technology and publishing since 1966. The organization advances core technology to develop standards and best practices to enhance efficiency and speed information across the end-to-end digital media supply chain including creation, production, management, and delivery of knowledge-based multimedia content digitally and in print.  The G7 program was created by its Print Properties and Colorimetrics Working Group to develop consistent methods and processes that enable printers to reproduce a similar visual appearance across all printing types and substrates.
 

Geodsx Managers Attend Global Growth Conference

Geodsx managers Rema Subramanian and Sethu Padmanabhan attended the 8th annual Taipan 2009 Conference held in April 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With the theme of “Surviving the Crisis: Going Global; Getting Lean,” the conference featured speakers including Verne Harnish, best-selling author of Mastering the Rockefeller Habits. The conference is sponsored jointly by the Malaysia chapters of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and the Young Presidents’ Organization/World Presidents’ Organization (YPO/WPO).

 

Geodsx awarded Liz Claiborne work

Liz ClaiborneGeodsx has been assigned photo retouching work for Liz Claiborne's menswear, women's eyewear, and Monet jewelry products. The company picked Geodsx because it provides high-quality work with fast turnaround at a highly competitive price.

The work is being supervised out of Geodsx's New York City office, providing hands-on project management and face-to-face client communication.

Liz Claiborne Inc. designs and markets a global portfolio of retail-based premium brands including Kate Spade, Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand and Mexx. The company also has a refined group of department store-based brands with strong consumer franchises including the Liz Claiborne and Monet families of brands, Kensie, Kensiegirl, Mac & Jac and the licensed DKNY® Jeans Group.

 

Sanjeev Malhotra attends Harvard program

Sanjeev Malhotra, Geodsx Chief Branding Officer and head of Geodsx joint-venture partner Aliagroup, attended the Owner/President Management Program (OPM) at Harvard Business School, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, in May 2009.

The OPM is designed for successful entrepreneurs and addresses managing equity stakes, transition planning and strategic and professional growth. Participants learn how to assess their company's position, develop long-term strategies for effective change and create practical action plans, company and career. They explore crucial business challenges from finance, marketing and business control to more forward-looking topics such as leadership, strategy and global markets all from the unique perspective of owners balancing personal and professional issues.

 

Mabry joins Geodsx from Quad/Graphics

John MabryJohn Mabry has joined Geodsx as Sales Manager based in our New York City headquarters. He was most recently with Quad/Graphics in New York City as Account Director for its BlueSoho prepress division. At Quad, John handled business development and project management and was involved in creative direction of photo shoots and other projects.

At Geodsx, John will be responsible for developing business in core areas including mechanical artwork, image management, animation and computer graphics, and web-site programming.

In addition to Quad/Graphics, John has worked at EMR Systems, New York, a provider of imaging and printing solutions; Hallmark Cards in Columbus, Ga.; and the National Wildlife Federation in Washington, DC.

He is a graduate of Ambassador College in Pasadena, CA, with a B. A. degree in communications and completed graduate-level course work at UCLA, Los Angeles, in print management.
